Following the elections at the fourth AGM, Samit Ghosh, Founder and CEO, Ujjivan, has been elected President of the industry body while C S Ghosh, Founder & CEO, Bandhan, has been elected as the Vice-President.
MFIN's newly elected Governing Board consists of Samit Ghosh - Ujjivan, C.S. Ghosh - Bandhan, Suresh Krishna - Grameen Koota, Govind Singh - Utkarsh, Kishore Puli - Trident, Manoj Nambiar - Aarohan, V.S. Radhakrishnan - Janalakshmi, K. Paul Thomas - ESAF and Sameer Nanavati - Disha.
Commenting on his election as President, Samit Ghosh said, "It is indeed an honour to be elected the President of the MFIN Board. It is a daunting task to follow the footsteps of our Founder President Vijay Mahajan, whose life long contribution to this sector is unparalleled.
"This position comes with great responsibility and I am committed to working to achieve financial inclusion of the rural & urban poor in India. We have a well experienced board and I am sure we will be able to take big strides towards achieving the goal."

The Board provides strategic guidance in fulfilling the objectives of the organization. It supports the broad goals of the institution while providing leadership support in order to ensure a healthy development of the NBFC-MFI industry.
Micro Finance Institutions Network (MFIN) was established in October 2009 as the self-regulatory organisation (SRO) and the industry association for the 'Non-Bank Finance Company-Microfinance institutions' (NBFC-MFIs) in India.
